The Uppinangady parish celebrated Christmas with great devotion and festive spirit on 24th December 2025 with a well-organised Christmas programme held in the church premises. The celebrations reflected unity, faith, and the hard work of the parish community, especially the ICYM youth members.
In preparation for Christmas, the ICYM youth members constructed a beautiful Christmas crib within the church premises. Built with hearts full of excitement, love, and dedication, the crib took nearly a week to complete and drew admiration from parishioners for its creativity and effort.
The Christmas Mass was celebrated at 7:30 p.m., preceded by melodious carol singing by the parishioners at 7:00 p.m. sharp, which set a prayerful and joyful tone for the evening. Following the Mass, a vibrant cultural programme was organised for the gathered faithful. The cultural programme began with a graceful prayer dance, invoking God's blessings. Mr. Vishal Pinto, President of ICYM, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the spirit of Christmas and togetherness. Prize distribution was then conducted for various games organised by ICYM in the weeks leading up to Christmas. A special moment of pride for the parish was the felicitation of Mr. Ajay Braggs, who successfully cleared the Navy SSB examination and joined the Indian Navy as a Permanent Commissioned Officer in the Executive Branch.
The evening concluded with an entertaining cultural segment featuring eight dance performances and three skits, showcasing the talents of the parish youth and members. The programme ended on a joyful note, leaving the audience with cherished memories of a meaningful Christmas celebration.
