The ICYM Uppinangady unit successfully hosted its annual parish gathering, "Ekvott 2025," on Sunday, December 7, bringing together parishioners of all ages for a day of tradition, and fun. The event, held in the Church premises immediately after the 7:30 a.m mass. The day kicked off with a cultural demonstration, showcasing the traditional Roce ceremony. Parishioners who had undergone training in Voviyo last month sung Voviyo and vers, setting a celebratory and traditional tone for the half-hour demonstration. Following the cultural event, the formal stage program began, hosted by Vinush Dsouza. The event was graced by several key parish dignitaries:

Mr. Vishal Pinto, ICYM President, extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and the entire gathering. The assembly was then addressed by Fr. Jerald Dsouza and Mr. Maxim Lobo, who spoke on the importance of community gathering. The formal inauguration was a highlight, featuring the launch of the event banner and the hoisting of the flag. This was immediately followed by a high-energy flash mob performed by the ICYM members. The core focus of "Ekvot 2025" was uniting the parishioners through interactive activities. The ICYM unit conducted an impressive selection of over 40 games tailored for every age group, ensuring involvement from the youngest to the eldest members of the parish. Refreshments were provided during the games, and a wholesome lunch was served for all participants and parishioners. A successful day of joyous activities was concluded around 2:30 p.m.
