On July 23, 2025, Our Lady Virgin of the Poor Church in Uppinangady hosted a significant event, receiving the KRYC Cross from the Vittla Deanery. This meaningful procession, which commenced at 5:30 PM, was officiated by Fr. Sunil Pinto and Rev. Fr. Jerald Dsouza. They were joined by members of the ICYM and several parishioners. Vishal Pinto, the ICYM President, led the introductory prayer.

The KRYC Cross was then formally transferred to the Puttur Unit on July 25, 2025, at 5:30 PM. Rev. Fr. Jerald Dsouza and various ICYM members were present for this solemn handover.
